College Cooking Trends

Aaaahhh lunch. I don’t know about you guys, but I love to eat, and I will eat just about anything. I watch those shows where they eat weird stuff and I say, “I would try that”. Serious attempts at cuisine, not purposeful attempts to be grotesque. I also love to watch Food Network. Because I think, if you love food as much as I do, you should probably be able to cook it. I am like a mad scientist in the kitchen, although in a college kitchen with horrible supplies and a rather empty pantry, I’m more like a kid with a plastic kitchen in the backyard. I try to cook dinner at my house at least three times a week, if not more. Usually it ends up being about 4. I talk to me friends, and it seems that the overwhelming trend is, guys don’t cook in college (or at all) and girls try to. My fiancé and her two roommates each cook for the house once a week, and that usually yields enough leftovers to fill-out the other meals. I just cook something with four servings or so, and eat the other three servings for lunch and nights when I am low on time. So I guess I would like to take a poll. How many of you alumni lived in an apartment of house and cooked for yourself or roommates. And how many of YOU are male? Be awesome to your stomach…. and to each other. -Tim
