The perfect gift…

Christmas is right around the cornor, and you know what that means: shopping for gifts.  I don’t know about anyone else, but this time of year, as much as I love the holiday, stresses me out!  Whether it’s for your brother, sister, mom, dad, best friend or boyfriend/girlfriend, trying to find that “perfect” gift can be pretty challenging.  Maybe it’s because I’m not the most creative person, but I can never find that special something and many times just settle for an average gift.

Not only is picking out the gift extremely challenging, waiting in long lines and dealing with rude people is not on my list of things I look forward to doing.  It’s hard enough to find the time to go out and shop with my busy schedule, but when I do, I have to prepare myself for the what’s to come.

Christmas is about spending quality time with your family and friends, not soley about giving and recieveing gifts.  With the media so focused on the gifts, some people tend to lose the true idea of Christmas.

I say, this year, we all try hard to not forget what Christmas is all about.  Instead of putting all my focus on finding the best gift and getting upset about long lines, I’m going to remember that we’ve already been given the best gift of all: our friends and family.  So enjoy the upcoming holidays and take time to appreciate your friends and family; they truly are the “perfect” gift!
